BRAZILIAN INTERNATIONAL INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL (BIIFF) is an annual film festival that celebrates the art of filmmaking on an international stage. This unique and inclusive event will be held in Dublin, Ireland, organized by STUDIOS NMP, bringing together filmmakers from all around the world. BIFF aims to showcase global talent in cinematography, providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers to share their work and exchange creative ideas. The festival will embrace diversity, cultural richness, and ethical storytelling, fostering a vibrant global film community.

BIIFF was created by Nina Mendes, with the intention of expanding talentsin all areas of Cinematography all over the world, allowing those amateursor professionals in the cinematographic area to have a space in the world,to develop and expand the work of each one, without the excessiveexpenses that the cinematographic industry in all countries demands.

Submission Process

Filmmakers can submit their information through the eventbrite link at STUDIOS NMP website.

The submission fee will be kept
affordable and accessible, encouraging participation from filmmakers across the globe. You will receive a link to upload your video right after registering on Eventbrite.

Judging Panel

The judging panel will comprise a distinguished group of film industry professionals, film critics, SEDA & Studios NMP guests.

This diverse panel will guarantee fair evaluation and recognition of films from various cultural backgrounds.

Award Ceremony

The grand Award Ceremony will take place at the SEDA COLLEGE in Dublin, Ireland. The ceremony will be a glamorous celebration of global cinema, attended by filmmakers, studants, industry professionals, film enthusiasts, and media representatives.

Awards and Prizes

BIIFF will present prestigious awards to the winners of each category. The Best Film category will receive a cash prize and a trophy, while the other categories will be honored with trophies and certificates of participation. If any winner is unableto attend the award ceremony in Dublin, they will be presented with their award via video acknowledgment during the event.

Ethics and Guidelines

BIIFF will uphold high ethical standards and embrace diversity in storytelling. Films with explicit content or promoting hatred, violence, or discrimination will not be considered for the festival. The festival encourages filmmakers to express their unique
perspectives while respecting universal values.

Technical Requirements

One or more members of the Crew/Cast/Production must be of Brazilian nationality.

Films should have a resolution of HD or FHD. You can film with professional cameras or even with your own cell phone. We have several categories that you can sign up for.

Films must have English & Portuguese subtitles: SRT format or embedded in the video.
